Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop accounting skills of Vocational Technical Baccalaureate students at the BEST Educational Unit through the use of technological tools. The research is applied, experimental, longitudinal and correlational. Theoretical research methods are applied and nine fundamental skills in accounting students were determined, with which a checklist was developed that is applied before and after the implementation of the Google Classroom learning platform. A Likert scale was used. (1-5), processed with SPSS software with Cronbach's Alpha and R square greater than 0.7 (validity and reliability of the instrument). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank test was used where it was shown that the implementation of Google Classroom significantly influenced the development of accounting skills; the Spearman Correlation Coefficient test which determined that the most significant variables in the study were knowledge of accounting principles, use of accounting packages, use of technologies for the exercise of the profession and knowledge of taxes. The number of students with low results decreased from 99.31 to 21.25%.
