Authors

Abstract

To understand the current perception of the use of artificial intelligence at the Technical University of Manabí, a study was conducted using a questionnaire via Google Forms, targeting a random sample of 183 teachers. This study aimed to gather their opinions on prior knowledge, usefulness, concerns, and perspectives regarding the use of artificial intelligence, as well as to identify the need for and alternatives to training. The most relevant results showed that teachers with prior knowledge and those who had participated in courses on artificial intelligence were more inclined to implement these technologies in academic activities and the student learning process. Additionally, the study highlighted the urgency of developing training programs tailored to the specific needs and profiles of teachers. The findings underscored the necessity of designing strategies to promote the integration of these technologies in the educational field, addressing teachers' concerns and emphasizing the importance of dealing with ethical and responsible aspects in their implementation.
