PEOPLE’S EDUCATION IN LATIN AMERICA: LEGACY AND CHALLENGES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WORD CRISIS

This article constitutes an invitation to think -in the present context- the challenges, commitments and obligations which can assume the Popular Education. We make a review of the legacies which left us the precursors of the current of Popular Education, from Simon Rodriguez, to the ideas of Simon Bolivar, José Marti, José Carlos Mariátegui, Augusto César Sandino, to the same Ernesto "Che" Guevara. This article also aims to reflect upon the ethical, political, epistemological, pedagogical principles that should sustain an education from and for workers in a context of organic crisis of capitalism.
